About the Opportunity
Since 1936, volunteers have played a vital role in the UCLA Alumni Scholarships program, screening applications, interviewing candidates and selecting scholarship recipients. Volunteers get to know like-minded Bruins and scholarship applicants while giving back to the university in a tangible way.
November/December
- Distinguished Senior Awards
Support UCLA's top graduating seniors.
March/April
- Freshman Alumni Scholarships
Assist California's top-ranking high school seniors.
- Dr. Ralph J. Bunche Freshman Alumni Scholarships
Help California's highest achieving high school seniors from historically underrepresented backgrounds.
May/June
- Community College Transfer Scholarships
Support the most accomplished California transfer students.
- Out-of-State Freshman Alumni Scholarships
Assist freshmen applicants from outside California. (Contact your local regional support group to participate.)
- Lew and Edie Wasserman Grants
Award continuing Alumni Scholars based on need.
- Renewal Scholarships
Support outstanding continuing Alumni Scholars. (Must have previous scholarship committee experience to participate.)
