All UCLA graduates, students, parents and friends are eligible to join. Everyone is welcome to become a member! To sign-up, go to alumni.ucla.edu/Join.

Can my membership be discounted if my spouse is already a member?

Yes. If your spouse or domestic partner is a life member of the Association, you can also become a life member at the Joint Life Membership rate of only $150, but you must contact the membership desk to get this discounted rate.

Many couples sign up for a Joint Life Membership to show extra support for Alumni Association programs. Also certain benefits, including access to home games (excluding football and men’s basketball) and library card eligibility, are non-transferrable and cannot be redeemed by anyone besides a card holder.

Membership dues to the UCLA Alumni Association may be considered tax-deductible. Please consult your tax advisor for further information.

How do I get a new membership card and how much does it cost?

To replace your membership card, contact an alumni services representative at 1-800-825-2586 or alumni@alumni.ucla.edu. Replacement cards are provided as a complimentary membership service. Please allow time for shipping and delivery.

How do I change my contact information?

Contact the UCLA Alumni Association at 310-825-2586 or e-mail us at alumni@alumni.ucla.edu

Do I get to keep my yourname@ucla.edu e-mail address when I become a member of the Alumni Association?

The yourname@ucla.edu e-mail service is only for current UCLA faculty, staff and students. However, UCLA degree holders may set up a lifetime e-mail forwarding address so that yourname@ucla.edu will forward to a personal account. For more information, please visit the Bruin Online website at www.bol.ucla.edu.

Do I still have access to the UCLA libraries?

Alumni Association members can obtain complimentary library cards at any UC system campus library. Your library card allows you to check out up to five books at a time for two weeks. Due to cost, inter-library loans are reserved for students and faculty.

While you may not access the online journal databases or the proxy server from home, you may use them if you are on campus using a library computer. If you would like to research articles online, your membership provides complimentary access to select titles available through the ProQuest Research Library, an online journal database. Just send your name and membership ID number to proquest@alumni.ucla.edu and we will issue you a password.

Does the Alumni Association plan trips for away athletic events?

All trips are planned through the Athletic Department Fan Travel Office. You can visit their website at http://www.uclabruins.com/travel/ftb-fan-travel.html or make a reservation by calling 310-206-2873.

Do you offer insurance?

UCLA degree holders can qualify to receive group rates through Blue Shield and Liberty Mutual. For health, dental and vision insurance call 1-888-560-ALUM. For auto, home or renter’s insurance call 1-888-379-2530.

Additionally, recent graduates under 40 years of age are guaranteed to qualify for health insurance coverage if they apply within 135 days of graduation. Call 1-888-560-ALUM for more information.

My children would love to attend UCLA. Does being an alumnus or a UCLA Alumni Association member give them any advantage in the application process?

Because UCLA is a state-supported school, the Admissions Office cannot take into consideration the alumni status of family members. This policy helps ensure that applicants who may be first-generation college students can compete fairly with those who have UCLA graduates in their family.

If I am searching for friends I went to UCLA with, how do I find them?

If you are a UCLA degree holder, you can log on to your profile to access the UCLA Alumni Directory at https://alumni.ucla.edu/directory. If you cannot find a person’s contact information, we welcome you to use our locator service. We are happy to forward correspondence on your behalf if we have current contact information in our database.

For more information or to see if someone’s information is in our database, please contact us at 310-825-2586 or alumni@alumni.ucla.edu. You can send us your letter along with a note containing as much information about the person (age, graduation year, major, etc.) as you can. If we have information on file, we will forward your letter. If not, we will return your letter to the address you provide. Send mail to: James West Alumni Center, Attn: Locator Services, 325 Westwood Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90095-1397.
