Need-based Grants: Up to $5,000 is available the first year in addition to the scholarship award. Additional grants are available for succeeding years. Financial need is determined by the Financial Aid office.
Arts Scholarships recognize outstanding focused achievement in the fields of art; dance; design; music; theater, film and television; and world arts and cultures. High school seniors and community college transfer students of outstanding achievement and potential in the arts are identified by UCLA faculty and notified of their nomination by the Scholarship office.
These scholarships are initially awarded through an application screening and interview process. The second-, third- and fourth-year installments are awarded through a Renewal Scholarship.
