Need-based Grants: Up to $5,000 is available the first year in addition to the scholarship award. Additional grants are available for succeeding years. Financial need is determined by the Financial Aid office.

About

Community College Transfer Scholarships (CCTS) focus on students transferring to UCLA from one of 107 California Community College campuses.

Scholarships are awarded through an application screening and interview process. The scholarship award is divided into equal annual installments to be paid over two years. The second-year payment for this scholarship is awarded through a Renewal Scholarship and has additional requirements. Applications may be filed beginning Nov 14.

Requirements

  • Applicants must attend UCLA beginning the fall quarter immediately after transferring.
  • Eligible students must have a minimum 3.75 GPA.
  • At the time they apply, applicants must have completed the equivalent of 90 UC-transferable quarter units, at least half of them from California community colleges.
