Josslyn Glenn’s (Bruin story since ’20) exploration of historical Olvera Street is more than mere happenstance. As a native Angeleno with Belizean and Chicana heritage, she is committed to amplifying underrepresented voices. Mainstream narratives often overlook the stories of marginalized communities, and Josslyn’s work aims to elevate those voices.

A UCLA graduate with a B.A. in Chicana/o Studies and Gender Studies, Josslyn is the founder of QT-Blactina Productions, which focuses on authentic representation in media. Her work includes producing “I Have Wings But I Cannot Fly” for Netflix and serving as an associate producer on Emmy-nominated ABC News specials. She was also part of the Netflix Production Fellowship and worked on the documentary “Disclosure” (2019).

As an author, she self-published “She Rotates with Pluto” and contributed to “When Language Broke Open.” A lifetime member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, she mentors UCLA students from underserved backgrounds and is currently working on her next book, “Tranny Pants.”
