Bay Area Bruins: Surfrider Beach Clean Up in Santa Cruz

Join UCLA Bay Area Bruins at Natural Bridges State Beach in Santa Cruz for a community beach cleanup focused on protecting our coast and raising awareness about litter and plastic pollution. Participants should be 18 years or older. This clean-up is part of a larger Save Our Shores event taking place across Santa Cruz county on Sept. 19, 2026. We will be volunteer with many other people. Please wear your UCLA gear (e.g. hats, t-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts, etc.) so we can easily find each other. For those interested in making friends with fellow Bruins, we will figure out a no-host lunch location at the end of the event. Look for Marina Lemas in the UCLA blue and gold trucker hat.
