Travel back more than 250 years to explore the pioneers and innovators who originated from the Presidio—and helped shape San Francisco, the United States, and the world.
The journey begins by recognizing and honoring the Ramaytush Ohlone people, the first stewards of this land. From there, explore the dramatic transitions of power over the Presidio between three powerful countries and discover how the Presidio evolved from a strategic military outpost into one of the most popular national parks in the country.
The tour will last approximately 2 hours, and we will walk 1.3 miles. The trail is mostly flat with some inclines. We advise that you please wear layers, as the weather changes drastically. Bathrooms are available and we kindly ask that you please refrain from bringing any pets.
