The Rose Bowl Bruins is a regional alumni group formed in 1982 when UCLA Football moved to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. This move provided a great opportunity to create a new alumni support group in the area.
Since our inception, we have been dedicated to supporting the greater interests of the University and connecting local alumni to campus. Members of the Rose Bowl Bruins actively participate in community service projects, scholarship activities, and cultural, athletic, networking and family events that support UCLA and meet the interests of local alumni. Past events include:
• Cultural events at local museums and historic sites
• Habitat for Humanity “Build Days”
• Networking nights and mixers
• “Day at the Races” in Santa Anita
• Student scholarship award activities
• Annual regional networks basketball brunch and game
Our board of directors is made up of volunteer committees that plan cultural, educational and scholarship, network partnership, and social events and activities throughout the year. Alumni living and working in Pasadena, San Gabriel Valley, areas of Northeast Los Angeles and the surrounding neighborhoods are invited to get involved in one or more of these committees. You can choose the level of your involvement based upon your interests and availability.
Committee involvement gives you a chance to not only network with other Bruins, but to also give back to UCLA through your volunteer efforts.
