Alejandro Villanueva '10 has opened a new lymphatic healthcare clinic, LymphaVilla, in Torrance, California, and become a member of the Torrance Chamber of Commerce.

"I chose Torrance as our flagship location due to my deep personal connections to the area," Villanueva said. "I was born at Torrance Memorial, attended Torrance High, and earned my B.A [in sociology], at UCLA, followed by my master of Science in occupational therapy at California State University, Dominguez Hills."

"Lymphedema is at the level of a nationwide (and worldwide) epidemic," Villanueva continued, "and is vastly underdiagnosed because it is poorly understood. LymphaVilla's mission is to educate and spread awareness regarding lymphedema (and other lymphatic health conditions) while also providing life-improving therapy at an affordable cost to those who need it the most."
