"Becoming a Changemaker," the first book by Alex Budak '07, is coming out this fall. Based on the class Budak developed and teaches at Cal, it shows readers how to lead positive change from wherever they are.

"I really hope that the book's message will resonate with UCLA students and alumni alike," said Budak, who received the 2017 UCLA Award for Recent Graduate Achievement.

Budak received a master of public policy degree from Georgetown University and his bachelor's degree in geography and political science.
