Anita Meiklejohn, Ph.D. '87

Anita Meiklejohn, Ph.D. '87, a Principal in the Boston office of Fish & Richardson P.C., has been named a 2017 "Top Woman of Law" by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly (MLW) for her "great accomplishments in the legal field." MLW singles out an elite group of "exceptional" pioneers, educators, trailblazers, and role models for this prestigious award each year. Dr. Meiklejohn will receive her award at an event in Boston on Nov. 2.

An elected member of Fish's nine-person Management Committee, Meiklejohn has served as deputy practice group leader for 10 years and as a member of the firm's professional development subcommittee for five years. She is also an active member of Women in Bio, Boston Chapter, which promotes careers, leadership and entrepreneurship for women in the life sciences.

Dr. Meiklejohn received her Ph.D. in biochemistry from UCLA and her J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School in 1995. She was a post-doctoral fellow at Harvard University in the department of biochemistry and molecular biology.
