Annette Pauline Weiss Korbin, M.P.H. '70Annette Pauline Weiss Korbin, M.P.H. '70, died peacefully at home on March 15, at age 100.

Born July 11, 1923, Korbin grew up in Brookville, Pennsylvania. Described as a bright and accomplished woman, she was an avid reader from the time she was a child. She earned an undergraduate degree in home economics/dietetics from The Ohio State University in the 1940s before making Los Angeles her home in 1950, earning a master’s degree in public health from UCLA in 1970.

In addition to being a homemaker for many years, Korbin had a varied career, working as a registered dietician (including at the UCLA summer camp for children with diabetes), a high school teacher and a public health practitioner for Los Angeles County. She volunteered with refugees and in later life at the UCLA Clark Library. She is survived by her children Jill, Jonathan, Jodie and Dana; grandchildren Michael, Reed and Carmella; great-grandchildren David and Gabriella; and her many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
