Ashley Sanchez, who starred on the UCLA Women's Soccer team from 2017 through 2019, is a member of the U.S. National team, which will compete in this year's Women's World Cup, taking place from July 20 to Aug. 20.

In her freshman year, Sanchez was a first-team, All-West Region and All-Pac-12 selection. In 2018, she was a first-team United Soccer Coaches All-American, earning first-team All-West Region and All-Pac-12 honors for the second consecutive year. The following year, she earned second-team All-Pacific Region and first-team All-Pac-12 honors.

In 2020, the Monrovia, California, native was drafted by the Washington Spirit of the National Women's Soccer League and in her rookie season earned the Young Player of the Year award from the club and the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup Future Legend award from the league.

In 2022, Sanchez led the team in assists (5), shots (59) and shots on goal (25).
