Betty Dickhart '53
Bruin Betty Dickhart '53 passed away peacefully at the age of 85. Dickhart was born in Detroit, Michigan and spent her early childhood in the area of Victoria, Canada. After high school, she moved to Los Angeles to attend UCLA and study the biological sciences. Dickhart also met her future husband, Alfred Henry Dickhart, while at UCLA. Following graduation, Dickhart worked as a laboratory technician at the Los Angeles County Hospital and was subsequently employed for more than 30 years with the Department of Pathology, Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. While there, Dickhart served as laboratory administrator and received a number of citations for her outstanding contributions.
A life-long Bruin, Dickhart leaves behind a legacy of much-appreciated support and generosity to the UCLA community.
