Cailin Crockett '10In March, Cailin Crockett ’10, who has been working in federal policy on women’s issues for almost a decade, was appointed by the Department of Defense to be the senior advisor to the 90-Day Independent Review Commission on Military Sexual Assault. This Commission was established by Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin at the request of President Joe Biden, and on July 2, they released their final report and recommendations on policies to improve the military’s response to sexual violence. Crockett has been very involved with issues relating to women and girls since high school, continuing through her undergraduate years at UCLA, her study abroad in Spain, graduate school at Oxford and in the federal government, starting in 2010 when she was a Presidential Management Fellow. Prior to her work for the DoD, Crockett worked in the Department of Health and Human Services, focusing on domestic violence, child abuse, human trafficking and elder abuse.
