Carey Nachenberg '95, M.S. '95

Carey Nachenberg ’95, M.A. ’95 published a techno thriller novel titled, The Florentine Deception. A Manhattan Beach resident, the author spent nearly nine years writing the book and working to get it published. Nachenberg has pledged 100 percent of the book's profits to charity and has already donated to the Success Academy, KIPP.org, UniCamp, Npower.org and UCLA engineering scholarships for low-income computer science students.

Nachenberg volunteers as an adjunct professor of computer science at UCLA and is currently the chief engineer at Symantec Corporation, the world's largest computer security firm.
