Christina D. Howard '92Christina D. Howard '92, Ed.D., received the 2022 Outstanding Physical Therapist Assistant Educator award from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) at the APTA Leadership Congress held in Washington, D.C. Howard earned her bachelor's degree in physiological sciences, her master's degree at UCSF/SFSU in 1995, and her doctor of education at the University of St. Augustine for the Health Sciences in 2020.

Howard is past-president of APTA-Oregon, and credited with developing an award-winning, blended-learning physical therapist assistant curriculum at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon. She participates with regional and national leaders and advocates to advance diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in physical therapy education and employment for people with developmental disabilities.
