Eric Josef Carlson ’76, M.A. ’78, received the 2016 Edgar M. Carlson Distinguished Teaching Award during commencement ceremonies at Gustavus Adolphus College on May 29, 2016. Carlson is a professor of history at the college in St. Peter, Minnesota, where he has taught since 1990.
