Fernando A. Vicente '95
Fernando A. Vicente '95 has joined the Los Angeles office of Ogletree Deakins as Of Counsel and a member of the firm’s Employment Law and Litigation practice groups. His practice focuses on representing employers in a wide range of employment matters, including single plaintiff discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination and whistleblower claims, as well individual wage and hour claims.
Vicente’s practice also includes handling wage and hour class and representative actions on behalf of employers. His past clients range from private employers in all types of industries to non-profit organizations to public entities employers, including cities, police departments, universities and school districts. Vicente represents employers in both litigated and pre-litigation matters in state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies, including the CRD, EEOC and DIR. He is a devoted advocate and advisor to his clients, trusted for his judgment and perspective, and praised for his client-centered service and solutions.
Before practicing law, Vicente pursued a career in diplomacy and the foreign service. He is a recipient of the prestigious Woodrow Wilson National Foundation Fellowship, a fellowship for minorities in public policy and foreign affairs. A political science major as an undergraduate, he holds a master’s degree in international relations, and has worked abroad at various international organizations.
