Frank Foellmer '48
Frank Foellmer '48 passed away of natural causes at Los Alamitos Medical Center on Feb. 27, 2016 at the age of 91. Foellmer received his bachelor's degree from UCLA, and later received a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University. He was a Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific during World War II. Foellmer enjoyed a six-decade career as a Chartered Financial Analyst with Quincy Cass Associates, an investment securities firm. He was a past president of the CFA Institute of Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts.
Foellmer proudly served as an alumni yell leader at UCLA football games from 1977 - 2013, one of his most cherished activities.
He is survived by four children: Anne Glass, Sally O'Steen, Margy Gundert, Frank Foellmer Jr, their spouses, as well as his brother, Richard Foellmer. Foellmer leaves behind eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
