George Mefferd '52

George Mefferd '52, a life-long Bruin, passed away on September 6, 2015. Mefferd was raised in Southern California, graduated from Los Angeles High School in '44 and served in the U.S. Army. He attended UCLA where he was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity and met Jackie, his future wife. Mefferd graduated with a degree in accounting and continued to proudly cheer on the Bruins for the rest of his life. He never missed a Bruin football or basketball game.

Mefferd's children and grandchildren have attended UCLA, creating a three-generation family of Bruins.
