Helaina Chinn '08Helaina Chinn '08 has become an associate with Portland law firm Bodyfelt Mount LLP. Chinn practices general civil litigation, with an emphasis on personal injury and employment matters.

Prior to joining Bodyfelt Mount, Chinn acquired a broad base of experience working in government, both small and large law firms, and nonprofits. In California, she practiced class action and labor and employment law with an employment litigation firm. She also managed a diverse caseload as a staff attorney at a nonprofit law firm. Upon moving to Oregon, Chinn clerked at the Clackamas County Circuit Court for the Honorable Kathie F. Steele, Presiding Judge.

Chinn interned with multi-national defense firm Jones Day, the California Department of Justice, and Rady Children’s Hospital while earning her J.D. at University of San Diego School of Law. She was an active member of the San Diego Law Review, served as a teaching assistant, and received an Outstanding Oral Argument award. She also participated in the Honorable J. Clifford Wallace Inn of Court.

Chinn received her bachelor's degree in anthropology.
