Howard Gershan '53

Bruin Howard Gershan '53 passed away on Aug. 13, 2015 at the age of 85. Born in Cincinnati, he was the son of Russian-immigrant parents. Gershan attended both UCLA and the University Of Cincinnati, and served in the U.S. Army on the Japanese island of Okinawa during the Korean War. After working various jobs, he attended Loyola Law School. Gershan went on to create his own law firm, with two other partners, and has appeared before both the California and United States Supreme Courts. He is survived by two sons, Kevin and Glenn, fiancé RaeLynne Rein and sister Bette Klein.
