Ian McHardy '05, Ph.D. '11 has been certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Microbiology (ABMM). The ABMM was established in 1959 and was designed to test the expertise of microbiologists seeking to direct medical and public health microbiology laboratories. Board-certified Diplomates are adjudged capable to direct medical and public health microbiology laboratories. The ABMM certification is the highest credential that a doctoral-level clinical microbiologist can earn.
