Janet Borchers Adams '53Janet Borchers Adams '53 passed away in Santa Monica, California, the evening of May 9, 2024, at the age of 93.

Born in Evanston, Illinois, she moved to Burbank, California, in her early childhood and was a proud graduate of Burbank High School.

Adams majored in art at UCLA and was a lifelong Bruin football fan (and a season ticket holder since graduation). She was a proud member of Tri Delta, maintaining a connection with the sorority and her sorority sisters the remainder of her life. She was devoted to charitable endeavors, donating to many different organizations. In her later years, she was an active member of Philanthropic Educational Organization, providing financial assistance to women.

Accomplished at painting and drawing, she enjoyed traveling around the world with her late husbands Harry Borchers and Donald Adams '50, M.A. '51, M.D. '55. She loved the outdoors, spending time gardening at her home as well as skiing on the mountains in Mammoth Lakes.

Adams was a longtime member of the Rivera Tennis Club, joining in 1974. She enjoyed connecting with others on the courts as well as hosting events at her home.

She is survived by her daughter Sally Borchers, son Kurt Borchers, and grandchildren Patrick, Meagan and Emma Salmon.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
