Joan Michelson '81Joan Michelson '81 produced and moderated "Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Women's Suffrage," an event which took place in June at the Newseum in Washington, DC, featuring an all-star panel including top female political journalists. Michelson, host of the Green Connections Radio podcast, is an award-winning journalist, business leader, coach and advocate for women. She has written for Forbes, The Huffington Post, TheAtlantic.com, The New Economy, "Sixty Minutes," ABC News and other media outlets.

Michelson's great-great-Aunt was Miriam Michelson, a journalist and writer known for supporting suffrage causes and addressing gender and political issues in her work. (Miriam's older brother was Nobel Laureate Albert Michelson of Michelson-Morley experiment fame.)
