John Hays Gobble '56

John Hays Gobble ’56 passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016 in Santa Clarita, California after surviving a stroke in 2002. After graduating from UCLA, Gobble had a long career in wage and salary administration in the aerospace industry. He was an avid sailor, fisherman and traveler. An artist at heart, he enjoyed playing the clarinet, loved jazz music and taught himself landscape painting.

Gobble’s life will be cherished forever by his daughter Susan and son-in-law Michael of Redondo Beach, California; his son Mark and daughter-in-law Angela, his grandsons Chase and Brooks, and his former wife Barbara, all of Valencia, California. He is also survived by brothers James of Portland, Oregon; and Lewis of Santa Rosa, California.
