Juan Sánchez Muñoz, Ph.D. '01

Juan Sánchez Muñoz, Ph.D. '01, became the president of the University of Houston-Downtown, Houston's second largest university, in April. Before earning his Ph.D. in Education, Dr. Muñoz received a B.A. from UC Santa Barbara and an M.A. from Cal State Los Angeles. He credits the education he received at UCLA and the other institutions with preparing him for this opportunity.
