Karla V. Salazar '94, Cert. '08, was recognized as Executive of the Year at The Los Angeles Business Journal's (LABJ) 2025 Women’s Leadership Symposium and Awards Ceremony, honoring and celebrating exemplary women business leaders in the Los Angeles community. The journal received 374 nominations this year.

Salazar, who majored in political science and earned an executive program certificate from UCLA Anderson, is executive director of ScholarMatch, which support first-generation students on their journey to higher education.
