Mike Anderson '97, Cert. '11Mike Anderson '97, Cert. '11, executive vice president of The L. Warner Companies, a top-ranked registered investment advisor (RIA), has been named to the board of directors of Exceptional Children’s Foundation.

Anderson is a nationally recognized investment company executive and licensed fiduciary. In a career spanning more than 35 years, he has managed over $3 billion in assets for private and public companies, non-profit organizations, and has managed assets at the highest tier of American business, the Fortune 100.

He has served as a board director, executive officer, and president for industry organizations on both regional and national levels. He has influenced the formation of federal retirement laws and legislation. As a two-time graduate of UCLA — with a bachelor's degree in political science and an Anderson Executive Program certificate — Anderson is and has been engaged in alumni leadership, University governance, student healthcare services and campus-wide philanthropy. In 2017, he was nominated and elected as a Life Member of the UCLA Order of the Golden Bruin by his peers for exemplary service to the University. He has produced and hosted financial internet podcasts for many years, including his current project, The Anderson Files.

He and his wife, Denise, live in Chatsworth, California.

Exceptional Children’s Foundation (ECF) was created in 1946 by a group of concerned parents who pooled their resources to create a daycare program for children with developmental disabilities. Over 78 years, ECF has evolved into a nationally recognized organization serving nearly 4,000 people with special needs and their families annually from 14 program sites, in homes and in the community across Los Angeles County. ECF is the only organization of its kind in California to provide a lifespan of services for children and adults challenged with special needs—empowering them to reach their greatest potential.
