Mina Nordness (née Mirhoseini) '12Mina Faye Nordness (née Mirhoseini) '12, M.D., received her master of public health degree with a concentration in epidemiology from Vanderbilt University on May 15. For her thesis project, she investigated "The Impact of Surgery and Anesthesia on the Development of Alzheimer’s Disease or Related Dementia (ADRD) after Injury," and she completed her practicum with the Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network. Nordness will be staying at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center to continue her medical residency until 2023 as a physician in surgery, after which she intends to pursue active duty in the Navy.

As an undergraduate at UCLA, Nordness majored in linguistics and psychology. She earned her M.D. at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
