Miriam S. Phillips, M.A. '91

Miriam S. Phillips, M.A. '91, has begun an innovative Ph.D. program in practice as research in the performing arts and is a guest lecturer in the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick. She teaches contemporary dance and dance ethnology. Her dissertation, which will be performed and written, is "Opening Up the Dance: Widening the Scope of Contemporary Dance Choreography through an Ethnochoreological Perspective."

Phillips earned her master's degree in dance.
