Mobolaji Olambiwonnu ’94 (director), Lisa Smithline ’78 (producer) and Jerry A. Henry, M.F.A. ’02, (cinematographer) were key members of the production team of the documentary "Ferguson Rises," part of the Hope, Love, & Beauty Project.

The film is about struggle and hope, tragedy and transcendence. It is the story of a small town that suffered a powerful loss and became the flashpoint for a modern-day civil rights movement.

Olambiwonnu earned his degree in communication studies; Smithline earned hers in history; and Henry earned his in film and television.
