Nicole K. Serfoss '02

Nicole K. Serfoss '02 has been elected to partner as a member of the litigation department at leading global law firm Morrison & Foerster LLP in Denver, CO.
Serfoss has more than a decade of experience representing clients in SEC and DOJ enforcement matters, corporate internal investigations, securities class actions, derivative suits, and mergers and acquisitions litigation. Not only does Serfoss represent companies, officers, directors, and auditors in a wide range of matters involving accounting and disclosure issues, but she has also assisted clients in regulatory inquires regarding cybersecurity, including SEC investigations following high-profile data security incidents.
In 2012, Serfoss was named a Colorado Rising Star by Super Lawyers, an annual listing of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. She has tried over a dozen cases as a special prosecutor in the Denver City Attorney’s Municipal Court Trial Advocacy Program. As an active member of the Colorado legal community, including membership in the Minoru Yasui Inn of Court and the Colorado Women’s Bar Association, she is also committed to pro bono service and has received the Wiley W. Manuel award for Pro Bono Legal services.
Serfoss received her bachelor’s degree in history, magna cum laude, from UCLA and earned her J.D. at the University of Colorado Law School, graduating Order of the Coif in 2005.
