From the book's media kit:
On New Year’s Eve 1994, Orna Walters was fighting for her life. The boyfriend she lived with was drunk, high, and laying on top of her, pounding her head viciously into a hardwood floor. Orna was eventually able to break free, and holding her torn pj’s closed with one hand, she dialed 911 with the other. That night, a desire was lit deep within her soul to understand how she chose a man who could beat her, when that was the very last thing she wanted. Over a decade later Orna met the love of her life, Matthew Walters. Together they teach the world how to love.
Orna and Matthew Walters have been featured on countless television, radio and print outlets including: NBC, Fox News, MSN, USA Networks, Redbook and with motivational speaker Les Brown on CBS Radio. They have been featured as guest experts on Bravo’s "The Millionaire Matchmaker" and their award-winning love and dating blog attracts millions of readers for their expert advice.
Walters earned her bachelor's degree in theater from School of Theater, Film and Television.
