Rachel Hoffman, Ph.D. '97, is the author of a newly published novel, "Saltine," described as a "smart, comic, waggishly subversive, absurdist fractured fairy tale for literate adults who need a vacation. No trauma. No politics. No self-help. Only humor and humanity."

Hoffman is also the author of "Packer and Jack," published in 2013, and has taught and written academic articles. She earned her Ph.D. in art history.
