Robert L. Kay, M.P.H. ’68, passed away August 6 in Baltimore, MD, at age 89. Kay received a master’s degree in hospital administration from UCLA and went on to become president of hospitals in South Carolina, New York and Virginia. During the Korean War, he served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy on the aircraft carrier USS Wright and also spent three years in the active reserve.
Kay is survived by his wife, Joyce; three children, Jennifer Kay Kidd, Jill Kay Boyle and Holly Kay Walters; two stepchildren, Kimberly Weddington and Christopher Weddington; and eight grandchildren.
