roberta-resizedBruin Roberta Sherry-Scelza passed away on May 25, 2016 at the age of 81. Sherry-Scelza studied opera under Jan Popper at UCLA and acted in numerous plays and musicals. Her witty humor and love of the arts blossomed into a very accomplished career in the entertainment industry. Sherry-Scelza was an opera singer, choral singer, actress, script supervisor, technical coordinator and director. Her resume included “M*A*S*H,” “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” “Dukes of Hazard,” “The Nutty Professor,” “Designing Women” and more.

She is survived by her daughter Maryann Blackhart, her grandchildren and siblings Joseph Sherry and Dr. Nancy Devlin.
