A research article by Salomon Alcocer Guajardo '88 has been published in International Journal of Management and Data Analytics.

The article applies the diversity indices that Guajardo developed based on the Gleason, Margalef, and Menhinick count-based diversity indices. These indices are applied to compensation data obtained from 71 City of New York municipal departments. The application of the diversity indices obtains measures of compensation variation when it is not appropriate to apply logarithm- and probability-based indices of diversity such as the Shannon and Simpson indices.
