Sevag Shirvanian '08, an attorney in the Los Angeles and San Diego offices of Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has been elevated to shareholder, effective Jan. 1.
Shirvanian focuses his practice on traditional labor law, representing employers in collective bargaining, labor arbitrations and all proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). His traditional labor practice also includes working with clients on positive employee-employer relations and representing clients in NLRB elections and campaigns.
Shirvanian also has experience representing clients in discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour and wrongful termination matters in state and federal court, as well as in arbitration and administrative hearings. He has provided employers with advice and counseling regarding various employment-related issues, including policy development, management training, workplace investigations, discipline and discharge.
In addition, Shirvanian regularly volunteers for the local chapters of several nationally recognized nonprofit organizations, including the Boy Scouts of America, the Armenian General Benevolent Union and the Organization of Istanbul Armenians.
Shirvanian earned his B.A., cum laude, in political science and his J.D. from Southwestern Law School in 2011.
