shu-heng-chenBruin and Economist Shu-Heng Chen, M.A. ‘91, Ph.D. ‘92 was appointed Vice President of the National Chengchi University in Taipei City, Taiwan. A trained academic, Chen said he is up to the challenges of the new administrative role. His priorities as Vice President are the English Taught Program, the development of higher education and the Curriculum Restructuring Plan. Chen also stated he would work with departments to improve work efficiency.

Prior to his new position, Chen was the Dean of the Office of International Cooperation as well as the Director of the AI-ECON Research Center and the organizer of Experimental Economics Laboratory.

With more than 150 publications in international journals, Chen was one of the founders and leaders in the field of agent-based computational economics.
