Stephanie J. Lowe '10
Stephanie J. Lowe '10 was been named senior counsel at Liebert Cassidy Whitmore (LCW), effective Jan. 1.
“Per our policy, the firm uses the Senior Counsel designation sparingly,” said LCW Managing Partner J. Scott Tiedemann. “The firm considers designation as senior counsel in cases in which an attorney, like Stephanie, has a high level of experience, demonstrated expertise in one or more of the firm’s practices that sets the individual apart from her peers and merits unique recognition, and has a consistent record of meeting and exceeding firm expectations.”
Lowe, of the firm's San Diego office, provides representation and legal counsel to public entities and educational institutions in matters pertaining to employment law, labor law and education. Her practice includes advising clients on employment policies and providing litigation and arbitration support in a multitude of employment-related matters, including hiring, discipline, discrimination, disability, harassment and retaliation. Lowe also conducts investigations involving the full range of workplace issues, including harassment, discrimination, breach of contract, theft and misconduct. As part of the firm’s extensive training group, Lowe frequently presents workshops on sexual harassment, ethics, discipline, mandated reporting and supervisory skills.
Lowe graduated magna cum laude from UCLA and received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. During law school, she was a senior articles editor of the Hasting Women’s Law Journal and worked as a law clerk in Liebert Cassidy Whitmore’s San Francisco office. Lowe also studied abroad at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany.
