Tim Symonds '64

Bruin and writer Tim Symonds '64 published the novel “Sherlock Holmes and the Nine-Dragon Sigil” in 2016. The book is the most recent addition in a series of five and was published by MX Publishing in the UK.

Tim Symonds was born in London, England and grew up in Somerset, Dorset and the Channel Island of Guernsey. After several years travelling widely, including farming in the Highlands of Kenya and working on the Zambezi River in Central Africa, he immigrated to the United States. Symond studied at Göttingen, in Germany and UCLA, graduating cum laude in Political Science. He was also a member of the Phi Beta Kappa society.
