Tina Chakarian '84

Tina Chakarian '84 has been appointed Commissioner of the National Pavilion of the Republic of Armenia at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, taking place May – November 2020.

Chakarian is a multidisciplinary artist/designer currently based in Yerevan. She has exhibited installations the United States, Lebanon and Armenia and has taught at schools of architecture and design, including the Boston Architectural Center and the Mount Ida Chamberlayne School of Design.

In 2018, Chakarian served as the development director of the Armenian Pavilion at the 58th Esposizione Internationale d’Arte of La Biennale di Venezia. She earned her bachelor's degree in design.
