As UCLA becomes increasingly diverse, Diversity Programs and initiatives in Alumni Affairs foster meaningful connections among Bruins of diverse experiences across generations to support a strong and inclusive UCLA community.

UCLA Alumni Diversity Programs & Initiatives partnered with UCLA Asian American Studies Center, UCLA School of Education and Information Studies, Asian Pacific Alumni of UCLA and UCLA Pilipino Alumni Association to bring Dr. OiYan Poon to UCLA to speak about her new book, "Asian American is Not a Color: Conversations on Race, Affirmative Action, and Family." This event featured a Q&A with author and moderator Anthony Ocampo, ’06, Ph.D. ’11.
