Join us for a virtual session of the 2nd Act to learn tools for successful aging from UCLA psychology professor Alan Castel.
An expert in cognitive psychology, Castel studies learning, memory and age, with a particular interest in how younger and older adults selectively remember important information. He has been featured in the New York Times, Time Magazine, TedX and UCLA Alumni Day 2019, and is the author of "Better With Age: The Psychology of Successful Aging."
Castel will offer essential and practical tips to age well by avoiding aspects of aging that negatively impact quality of life. He will also share secrets from "super-agers" about staying sharp and aging preventatively more than just gracefully.
Learn from UCLA's resident expert what studies indicate about memory and how you can maintain your cognitive edge. Use the Q&A portion of our program to get your questions answered and optimize your own successful 2nd Act.
This session will be moderated by Julie Sina, Associate Vice Chancellor for Alumni Affairs and CFO for the UCLA Foundation and UCLA Investment Company.
Please RSVP no later than Sunday, April 19. If you already registered for the in-person event originally scheduled for March 26, you are confirmed for this event and do NOT need to register again.
