Asian Pacific Alumni of UCLA and OCA-Greater Los Angeles invite you to a special screening and panel discussion of the Bruin-directed documentary, “Finding Cleveland.”

Directed by Larissa Lam ’97 and produced by Baldwin Chiu, “Finding Cleveland” is a documentary short film that follows Charles Chiu and his family on an emotional journey as they travel to Cleveland, Mississippi to visit the gravesite of Charles’ father, K.C. Lou. As Charles learns more about his father, he discovers how early Chinese American settlers formed their own community in the segregated South during the time of the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882.

After the screening, join director/composer Larissa Lam ’97, producer Baldwin Chiu and special guests for a discussion about the documentary and importance of being able to tell stories like “Finding Cleveland” through the media.
