Thank you to those who joined us for the Podcasting 101 Workshop presented by the Daily Bruin Alumni Network for the fall 2021 portion of our Mentoring Series.
Kate Parkinson-Morgan ’14 led this workshop, a how-to guide for beginners, including helpful pointers on how to help craft your show’s identity and reach a consistent audience. Kate is a podcast producer and currently works as a senior producer at Pushkin Industries, Malcolm Gladwell’s podcast company. Previously, she worked at Gimlet (now under Spotify) on shows including Crimetown, The Cut from New York Magazine and The Nod, which was adapted into a TV show. She started her career at Morning Edition at NPR headquarters in D.C., and helped launch NPR Music’s first Tiny Desk Concert Contest.
In case you missed it, would like to watch it again or share it with friends, the recording has been posted on the UCLA Alumni YouTube channel.
