Orange County Network: Sunset Hike at Strands Beach

Join fellow Bruins and Stanford alumni for a relaxed coastal sunset hike at Strands Beach Park in Dana
Point. With sweeping ocean views, beach boardwalk sections and natural coastal trails, this evening walk
is a welcoming way to enjoy the outdoors, meet alumni from both communities and take in a classic Southern California sunset.

We’ll gather with the following details:
Date: Saturday, Aug. 8
Time: 5–7 p.m. PDT
Location: Strands Beach Park, 34201 Selva Road, Dana Point, CA 92629 1
Meeting Point: Top of the funicular near the north end of the parking lot

The route is designed to be social and approachable for all fitness levels, with a mix of terrain and plenty of opportunity for conversation along the way.
Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water. Light layers are recommended, as a coastal breeze is expected. Guests are welcome, and this event is free to attend. Cameras are optional for those who would like to capture the ocean views and sunset.
