Start off your summer with a cooking and cocktail demonstration presented by the UCLA Alumni Bay Cities and Chicago Networks.
Join us for the interactive portion first, where you’ll be guided by Chicago Network president Alon Nachshon ’11 on how to make Le Piquant, a flavorful tequila-based cocktail with pineapple and herbs. Guests are encouraged to shop for the ingredients to make the cocktail with us. Ingredient measurements and an equipment list will be emailed once you register.
Then sit back to watch Bay Cities Network secretary Karen Nguyen ’08 demonstrate how to make bún thịt nướng, a Vietnamese noodle dish with grilled pork. This refreshing recipe pairs rice noodles with savory grilled pork, fresh herbs, pickled vegetables and nước chấm seasoned fish sauce, for a delightful summer treat. Plant-based options will also be shared. For those looking to recreate this meal, the recipes will be provided prior to the event date.
